Youth ministry | Grades 6 through 12

Coming together in weekly studies, serve activities, social nights, and more we seek to build up the faith of our youth. Please check out ongoing gatherings and event opportunities.

Middle School & High School on Sunday Mornings
Each Sunday morning, youth gather in separate middle school and high school groups from 9:30 - 10:15 AM in the Youth House. This is an interactive time to dig into Scripture, ask questions, and talk about life with our adult group leaders.

The Confirmation Journey (7th-9th Grade)

Students in seventh grade and up are invited to explore the Christian faith as part of our Confirmation Ministry. This two-year journey culminates with an opportunity for youth to affirm their faith with family, friends, and our faith community. Contact Pastor Alex to learn more.

FIRST WEDNESDAY Youth Nights
A space for youth to come together, have fun, and grow in faith. Open to 6th-12th graders! The First Wednesday of each month from 6:00-7:30pm come be a part of the games, large and small group experiences, and more. We start as a large group, and then divide into small groups! The nights start with dinner. See you there!

SECOND SUNDAY Study (9th-12 Grade)

The Second Sunday of every month high school youth meet in the Youth House to ask the tough questions and dive into God’s Word. Our current topic is Revelation and the End Times!

Monthly Outings (9th-12 Grade)

A time for our high school youth group to grow strong Christian relationships. Outings will be on and off campus. Contact Pastor Alex if you’d like to be added to the high school youth group’s GroupMe chat to keep up on the latest outing location!

Local and National Youth Gatherings
Holy Cross offers the opportunity for all youth and their friends to attend local middle school and high school gatherings as well as attending the LCMS Youth Gathering held every three years.

2028 LCMS Youth Gathering

San Antonio | July 3-7, 2028

Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering (Gathering) provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to learn more about Jesus Christ and their Christian faith.  Youth that are in 9th through 12th grade (during the 2028-2029 school year) are invited to come! The Gathering’s content is distinctly targeted toward youth in or going into high school.
